By purchasing our Hug Pocket Charm, know that you are helping support the work of the IWK Auxiliary – Amos Pewter is very proud of the longstanding partnership we have had with the IWK Auxiliary. For the past 13 years, the friendly faces of Auxiliary volunteers have been greeting arriving cruise ship passengers at the Amos Pewter kiosk in the Dockside Shops at the Pier 22 Cruise Pavilion. The success of this partnership has resulted in over $400 000 in funds raised to support the work of the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary provides financial and volunteer support to a variety of IWK Health’s programs and departments which provide health services for children, youth, women and families in the Maritime provinces. The impact of the situation this year has unfortunately had a tremendous effect on the fundraising abilities of the Auxiliary. Their three main fundraisers – the Kermesse, Biggs and Littles Gift Shoppe and the Amos Pewter kiosk at the Cruise Pavilion – have all been significantly curtailed or, in the case of the Kermesse and the Cruise Pavilion, had to be cancelled all together. Children, women and families will continue to experience the same needs that they always have and the hearts of the Auxiliary will have the same desire to give. In order to continue to support the Auxiliary in these challenging times, Amos Pewter is pleased to be able to donate the proceeds of our new pewter Hug Pocket Charm to the Auxiliary.
